Best Student Presentation Awards

Best Student Presentation Awards (BSPAs) may be awarded by each section for original student research (undergraduates or graduate) presented at the VAS Annual Meeting.  The decision to give these awards, is left to the discretion of each section’s officers.  While some sections give BSPAs for oral presentations only, some sections give BSPAs for both oral presentations and poster presentations.

In order to be eligible for consideration for these awards, student presenters MUST be VAS Members “in good standing” at the time of the presentation (i.e., have paid VAS student dues for current year).  Selection of the awardees (by section representatives) is based on the originality and scientific merit of the research, the quality of the oral presentation or poster presentation and submitted abstract, and responses to questions.

Questions can be directed to the VAS Associate Executive Officer at psheridan@vacadsci.org or (804) 633-4336.
